At brickloftpalouse.com, we value comfort and ease. Our vision is to provide exceptional vacation and event space rental experiences that exceed our guests' expectations. Situated in the beautiful Palouse, The Brick Loft is central to WSU, The University of Idaho, and the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley. Boundless opportunities await you, whether it's photographing the rolling hills, exploring historic quaint Palouse small towns, attending a University event, or adventuring on the Snake and Clearwater rivers, The Brick Loft is the perfect location for your Palouse adventure.
The Brick Loft was built in 1890 by Smith Harrison, an enterprising businessman who opened it as The First State Bank in 1893. Built from local Uniontown brick it remained a bank for an unknown period of time before it passed into the hands of Eleanor Reseinauer in the 1940's. Eleanor transformed it into a restaurant and saloon that served as a meeting place for friends and family passing between the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley and Pullman/Moscow. While it no longer bears her namesake, many locals still fondly remember the establishment as Eleanors. We are honored to continue its legacy as a revitalized, unique historical building on the Palouse offering event space and lodging options for locals and travelers alike.
The Brick Loft is an open concept main living space with a fully equipped modern kitchen and dining table that seats 6 and a bar that seats 4+. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms off of the main space that can accommodate up to 9 overnight guests wishing to stay in the heart of the Palouse. The space is well-appointed for alumni events, retreats, culinary experiences, and family events.
